Our Team

The past couple of weeks have been very satisfying from a professional and personal standpoint. At the beginning of AV Month we announced a joining of the Red Band group with AVNation. This is a project we have been working on for a while and it made sense on several levels. What this means for you, the wonderful people who consume the content we make and continue to encourage us, is there is a bigger team making the cogs go at AVNation.

Then some of those same team members said “let’s put together 31 pieces for 31 days of AV month”. And they did. From Josh Srago to Veronica Ferrari and a host of others. The first thirteen days of AV Month have been full of insightful, thought-provoking blogs and ideas. Have they all been right an on the mark? That’s for you to say. However, that is what makes this such a great team. There is always room for more.

This week was one of those times when George Tucker also covered for me on AVWeek as I was on a customer’s site and not able to perform my normal duties as host. He did a great job and lends a unique voice to the show. It was sort of like when Brian Williams would fill in for Tom Broakaw. That’s a bit pretentious of a comparison. How about when you have a teacher who doesn’t totally suck and then you get the cool sub that has tattoos and has seen more in life than anyone you have ever met.

Regardless, October has been a great reminder to me that there is a huge support structure making this AVNation thing happen. I just wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to the AVNation board and our new additions in the Red Band Collective. There’s a scripture that says as he becomes greater I must become less or something like that. That is the place I find myself in. As this movement grows and more people add their voice to it, mine is less. And that is a great thing from where I sit. The more people who add their voice to this choir, the better.

Thanks for taking the time to read my blog. Have a great week.
