You Did It!

Theodore Roosevelt said “It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.”

Thank you doesn’t quite cut it, here. Thank you is all I have right now. We at AVNation are humbled by your support and donations to our efforts to get to ISE 2015 and bring you the same great coverage we have done at other trade shows. We have hit our goal of $10,000 thanks to your generous donations and sharing the effort with your friends and colleagues.

When we decided to cover ISE it was a pretty easy decision. It is the biggest AV tradeshow in the world. When we decided how to pay for it, that was a bigger deal. We decided to ask you for help. The risks for us was what if you said no? What if the AV community couldn’t, or wouldn’t, support our efforts to get to a show half a world away? If we failed, we would fail valiantly. But we didn’t. Rather, you didn’t fail us. You came through. Whether you are a manufacturer, integrator, consultant, reporter, or some friend of ours; Thank you. I extend the heartfelt thanks of a grateful AVNation.
