InfoComm Show 2015

We are just about six weeks away from the biggest Pro AV show in America, InfoComm 2015. This will be a great time to get together with industry colleagues, rivals, and new friends. There will be plenty to see. If you look at the map at InfoCommshow.org there aren’t many empty booths so it will be a jam packed three days. Here are some of the things I am looking forward to.
InfoComm Innovation Showcase
This is a new feature this year and as someone who loves to see new technology, this area is going to be great. Currently they have seventeen companies at “Booth” 5585. I put the booth in quotes because it could be considered a pavilion. It’s an area where these companies are able to show what problem their product is solving for the integrator. All of these companies are first-time exhibitors at InfoComm, so it’s a guarantee you have never seen them at the show before. Plus, there is the Innovation Stage where each company will have the chance to really show what they can do.
AVNation #AVTweeps Tweetup
For the third consecutive year AVNation will host a networking event at the show. It’s a great time to meet other AV professionals, trade business cards, and get to know in real life (IRL) people like @AVGrump, @CraigMacCormack, @KMB_Comm, or @MikeBrandesAV. No, you don’t have to be on Twitter or know what an #AVTweep is to join in the fun. The bottom line is, there is free food and drink from 4 – 6 pm on Thursday June 18 in room W223A. You can register for it here:-*https://www.eventbrite.com/e/avnations-avtweeps-avtweetup-at-infocomm15-tickets-16564214010?ref=estw
Booth 6667
That’s where AVNation will live for the three days of the show. For the first time we will be producing all of our shows from the show floor. I’m very excited, and a little nervous, about this. AVWeek will do it’s live two-hour InfoComm Show special on Friday June 19 from 2 – 4 pm. Come by, say hi, and get on the show. Let us know what great things you experienced at the show. If you’re a little camera shy, come by throughout the week to pick up some pretty cool stuff and register for a few of our prize give-aways.
AVWeek Episode 200
This is no small feat. We started AVWeek almost four years ago. I’ll go into the hows and why in a later post. You have been alongside to help us hone our audience, message, and focus. Thanks to you we are recording Episode 200 during 2 -*and 3 pm June 19. So humbled and excited about this.
#AVSelfie Part II
Yes, the #AVSelfie will be a thing again at the InfoComm Show. Just like last year, tag yourself travelling to the show, finding great products, and going to all the events. On Friday of the show we will debut the #AVSelfie song by none other than HiPhi, the AV Professional, himself. See if you make the video.
In addition, we will be covering the booths with videos, blogs, photos, and social posts. We are so excited about some other things we have in the works, but they are just not quite done yet. We hope to see you at the InfoComm 2015 show. Thanks for taking the time to read my blog. Have a great week.
