CEDIA Expo 2015 Plans

We are just under a month away from CEDIA Expo 2015. Our friends in the PR and marketing community are crafting-*press releases and scheduling booth tours. Those in the manufacturing world are putting the finishing touches on their booth designs and product launches. Those of you who are attending are watching social media and the CEDIA Tweeps ambassadors getting you ready for the show. Here at AVNation we are getting ready as well. Here are some of the plans we have set so far.
AVTweeps Tweetup
For the second year in a row we will host the #AVTweeps Tweetup. Our underwriters make it possible to provide those in attendance free food and drink. The event is a great networking opportunity. No, you don’t have to have a Twitter handle but it certainly helps. The Tweetup will be between 4 and 6 pm Friday October 16 in the biergarten of the conference center. Come by, bring business cards, and grab a drink.
AVWeek Live
We will also record our weekly news round table program, AVWeek, live from the show floor. This will be between 2 and 3 pm. It will feature some regulars like Matt Scott, Ted Green, and Rich Fregosa. We will also have a great list of new guests that are CEDIA specific. We may even get new CEDIA CEO, Vin Bruno, to stop by and say a few words.
Crestron Service Provider Meeting
If you are a Crestron CSP, don’t forget to register for this event. It is on Thursday October 15 in the Dallas Omni hotel from 3 to 5 pm. I will be moderating a panel discussion entitled “Adapt – Change – Grow”. It will feature-*features CSP Advisory Board members Bob Horn (CAB Chair) of Elixir Controls, Tom Fischer of Korelogix, and Tom Milpacher of Infusebox. It’s a great event. Fred Bargetzi will address the group as well.
In addition we will be running around meeting those of you at the event, shooting booth tours ourselves, and learning about all the new products in the residential space. If you haven’t registered yet, do so today and meet us in Dallas. It’s going to be a grand time.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog. Have a great week.
