Tuesday June 7

  • 8:00AM to 3:30PM – IST02 – IoT Insights
    AVNation’s Editor-in-Chief, Josh Srago, will be a part of the IoT Insights panel on Super Tuesday. You can come listen to him talk about all the great and groovy things that makes IoT a significant part of the commercial AV world, as well as the security concerns it brings. If you are unable to attend the IoT Insights event, Srago will also be speaking at the InfoComm IoT Pavilion at the times shown above.
  • 9:45AM to 10:45 AM during IST01 – Future Trends
    A live version of AVWeek will take place during the Future Trends session. Moderated by Tim Albright with AVNation members Dawn Meade, Josh Srago, and The Bradford Benn. We will discuss what technology is dead finally or already dead. Look for some pretty outlandish prognostications.
  • 2:15PM to 3:30PM – Round Table Discussion
    Tim Albright joins Pete Putnam, Bill Nattress, and Gary Kayye onstage to answer questions in a panel moderated by Simon Dudley.

Wednesday June 8

  • 9:00AM to 5:00PM – InfoComm Exhibit Hall Open

  • 12:30PM to 4:30PM – IUX02 – Next Generation AV Networking Fundamentals & Design Training
    George Tucker, Tim Albright, and a number of really smart people are going to educate you on network design, commissioning, and troubleshooting when it comes to Time Sensitive Networking (TSN)/AVB. Paul Zielie, Bradford Benn, Greg Schlechter, and others will take part in the panel. They will discuss the various concepts to keep in mind when designing systems. As well as showing you to setup an AVB system comprised of a talker, listener, and switch. Plus, they will give us the inside scoop on new and upcoming products using A and V of AVB
  • 12:30PM to 1:30PM – IS20 – Control and Automation Simplified
    Learn the basics and future of control. This class is for technology managers who are just getting into designing or programming control and would like to know what is possible and what is coming down the pipeline.
  • 2:30PM to 4:30PM – IS36 – Government Regulations and the AV Industry
    Josh Srago on Government Regulations. If AVB and networking audio and video isn’t your speed, check out Josh Srago talking about how certain US Government rules and regulations will affect what we do.
  • 8:30PM – 11:00PM – Drunk Unkles concert
    AVNation is a proud media sponsor of this event. It is the annual NSCA fund raiser. This year they are raising money for the Ignite program. If you aren’t familiar with Ignite, click here. It’s a great program to get young people involved in the industry.

Thursday June 9

  • 9:00AM to 5:00PM – InfoComm Exhibit Hall Open

  • 12:30PM to 1:30PM – IS63 – Run Your Own PR
    Kim Lancaster from Caster Communications joins Tim Albright, to talk about how to do marketing and public relations in only a few hours a week. Learn from Kim’s years of experience and from Tim’s experience gathering a team to do marketing and PR.
  • 4:00PM to 6:00PM – Fourth Annual AVNation Tweetup
    Stop by Room N205 for free food, drink, networking, fun. In 2015 we had more people than we could fit in the room or provide food and drink for, for 2016 we have indeed gotten a “bigger boat,” more food, and drink as well. Come by and trade business cards with 300 of your closest AV friends, based on the attendance at 2015’s Tweetup. Please register here.

Friday June 10

    As it will be Friday we will be punchy and probably funnier and more fun than usual.
  • 11:00AM – The #AVSelfie Video Debut
    Be at our booth (N2821) when we debut the #AVSelfie Video. Hi-Phi, Phil Cordell has outdone himself again and created a great anthem for this year’s show. It’s up to you to take the pictures as you and your colleagues travel to the show, visit booths, and have a great time. Remember to tag #AVSelfie on the social media platform of choice have a chance to get in the video. You can also upload your photos directly to AVNation (it even works on mobile devices). You can also see what has been uploaded already!
  • 2:00PM – 4:00PM AVWeek Live
    We will be recording our flagship program, AVWeek, at our booth (N2821). Come by and join in on the round table discussion or just hang out and watch.
