Are You Ready for Some AV?

As you read this Monday morning, it is sometime in the afternoon in Amsterdam. The AVNation team has already set up our stand in Hall 7 (7V165) and are conducting three or four interviews and booth tours. This is the start of the biggest AV tradeshow in the world; Integrated Systems Europe 2017.

Last year Mike Blackman and the team at ISE expanded the show from three to four days. They topped 65,000 attendees and hosted not one but two presentations with well-known speakers. How do you top that?

ISE will have almost 1200 exhibitors, nearly 100 training opportunities, an award-winning architect and the head of Cirque du Soleil, and will most likely knock on the door of 70,000. This has become a critical point in the year for releases. During our interview with Mr. Blackman, he indicated there would be something in the neighborhood of 100 product announcements this week.

That right there is the number one reason to pay attention to ISE. It’s why AVNation, a predominately North American media company, covers the show. As integrators, programmers, and AV professionals you need to be informed about what is coming out of Amsterdam. Our jo is to bring that to you and offer the perspective of the working AV professional.

We are still the new kid on the block as far as press at ISE; still finding our way around the now 14 halls. There will be a daily wrap up show every afternoon an hour before the show ends. That show specifically gives you immediate insights from InfoComm, U.S. and European based integrators, press, and other AV professionals.

Also, we will be publishing our interviews, booth tours, and reviews on a nightly basis. This is also the time when I remind our audience that there are some great publications out there and they will all be here in Amsterdam. Take a look around and try to grab what they all are doing. Each one is going to give you a unique perspective.

Sit back and enjoy the great stuff coming out of ISE 2017. If you’re into social media, you can follow us @AVNationTV, and we will do our best to give you the latest from our point of view. If we missed something feels free to hit us up and let us know. Either @AVNation, @tdalbright, or email me tim@avnation.tv

Thanks so much for taking the time to read my blog. Have a great week.
