Thank you for InfoComm 2017

This has been one of the best weeks of my professional career. For a number of reasons. First let me say thank you to our underwriters. These are the companies who think what AVNation is creating is worth supporting with their money. It is with their support that we are able to bring you all the great shows, interviews, AVSelfie Video, and more.
Also, our team did an incredible job covering the show this week. George Tucker, Matt Scott, Dawn Meade, Steve Greenblatt, Phil Cordell, Mike Shinn, Brian McKinney, Josh Pippins, Marina Gregory, Bradford Benn, and a new guy Garrett Meeks. This team of AV and video professionals helped bring you the audio video integrator’s take on all the news coming out of Orlando this week.
Going into a show like InfoComm I’m typically nervous. What did I forget? How will it be received? Will anyone show to the #AVTweeps Tweetup? This year was by far AVNation’s most successful year. We made some great new contacts, met some professionals in real life, and forged some pretty great agreements.
And you, our great audience. You were with us every step. We met you in booths, at the various parties around town, at our own Tweetup, in the airport, and everywhere on the show floor. You who did not attend have watched our videos and listened in as we interviewed manufacturers about the why of their releases. So, thank you for continuing to support us with your time.
Using a word like “epic” is a bit dangerous. We will be able to reveal a few details as the summer progresses. But it was epic. And it will continue to be so. AVNation is six years old this July, and it feels like we are hitting a great stride. So, thank you to all of you in our AVNation. We will continue to bring you the analysis from an audio video professionals point of view. If you haven’t checked out our InfoComm 2017 coverage page, please do so now. New videos will be uploaded daily throughout the week.
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog. Have a great week.
