On the Road Again

All apologies to Willie Nelson. AVNation is hitting the road again.
Let’s start with our next trade show, CEDIA Expo 2017. From September 7 – 9 we’ll hit San Diego, CA bringing you the best of the residential market. Matt Scott, Steven Brawner, Rich Fregosa, and other ResiWeek regulars will interview manufacturers and service providers from the perspective of a residential dealer and programmer. Click here to see last year’s CEDIA coverage.
October 16 – 18 I’m heading to the HDBaseT World Congress. This is a gathering of the manufacturers who use the HDBaseT technology. It’s three days of technology, marketing, and insights from the audio video, automotive, and other markets that utilize the transport.
At the same time, George Tucker is joining Symco for their Fall showcases. He’ll be in New York October 17 and Boston October 18. They are a full day of training, CTS RUs, and mini-tradeshow. If you’re in the northeast you should check it out. George will be hosting a panel on IoT, voice control, and security.
From there we have New York Digital Signage Week (NYDSW). We’ve been honored to cover this event for three years now. Every year it gets better. We’ll kick off the week by broadcasting from the Daktronics office overlooking Times Square (see last year’s show here). From there we’ll head to the Christie Experience Center (see last year’s program here). In addition, DSF (Digital Signage Federation) hosts a breakfast on Tuesday morning, NEC has a two-day event, LG, and Samsung host separate parties. It is a week-long digital signage extravaganza. Our thanks to friends at Daily DOOH for introducing us to the event.
InfoComm’s AVEC rounds out our Fall. This is an event that brings together some of the best audio video executives. It is again in Miami this year. If you are interested in learning from your peers, furthering your management or business acumen, I would encourage you to get to this event at least once.
Phew. Then I get to prepare for ISE 2018. We have some pretty remarkable things planned for next year. Stay tuned. If you will be at any of these events please let me know. I’d love to connect.
Thank you so much for reading my blog, have a great week.
