D-Tools recognizes and celebrates the most outstanding projects of the year

CONCORD, CA —January 2018 —The winners of the D-Tools Annual Design Awards have been selected and are now being celebrated around the world. Sponsored by D-Tools MVP partners IC Realtime, KanexPro, Logitech, and Terra Speakers, the D-Tools Design Awards recognize the best commercial, residential, security, and higher education design and integration projects which showcase how the D-Tools System Integrator (SI) platform can be used to achieve the best possible installation and integration of electronic systems components.
Entries were diverse and demonstrative of solid system design acumen and included a project description, proposals, and designs created in D-Tools. The D-Tools Executive and Product teams judged each submission based on a number of criteria, including originality, overall design, and the design team’s usage of, and demonstrated design proficiency with, the D-Tools platform.
The D-Tools 2017 Design Awards Winners are:
Best Residential Project – Inspired Dwellings, Heathrow, UK
An integrated home system that includes audio/video, data, lighting, and CCTV systems (submitted by Rachel Threadingham)
Best Commercial Project – AVIO Designs, Vancouver, BC, Canada
Restaurant AV and control project featuring full IP video distribution, high-end audio design, and third-party automated control(submitted by Nathan Haynes)

Most Unique Project – One Touch Automation, Carmel, Indiana
Custom Sprinter Van with custom designed interfaces, a unique exterior video system, robust mobile communication, and audio/visual components (submitted byCalvin Garraway)
Best Overall Project – Aloud AB, Stockholm, Sweden
Residential multi-room AV and lighting control project supported by a robust network infrastructure(submitted by Joakim Ekberg)
