PureLink IP Video Enhances Super Week Events in Minneapolis

Company’s VIP Systems Control Video Displays & Signage at Big Game Concert Venue
RAMSEY, NJ, February 1, 2017 – PureLink, a provider of comprehensive connectivity solutions to commercial and residential audio/video and IT markets worldwide, announced today that several events taking place at the Minneapolis Armory leading up to the Big Game will utilize their VIP Video over IP hardware and software systems. There will be several concerts at this venue both in the days before the professional football championship on February 4, 2018, and on game day itself. During all these events the Armory will need to effectively and efficiently route live and pre-recorded video content and other digital media from multiple sources to a variety of displays and monitors throughout this newly refurbished facility.
With a number of pre-game events and celebrations happening at the Armory this week, the facility’s audiovisual infrastructure will be heavily utilized. The A/V systems will have to operate at peak efficiency, routing multiple signals over their IP network to the appropriate destinations at the appropriate times. This will include live event broadcast truck feeds, pre-recorded media content and messaging, as well as computer graphics and imagery. These signals will be sent either during performances, in between events, or in a constant stream to monitors and digital signage displays at the bars, luxury suites, shops, and other common areas within the facility.
PureLink partner and professional AV integrator Advanced Light & Sound (ALAS) was tasked with the management and proper distribution of these video signals. The PureLink VIP solution they installed has performed flawlessly. “The VIP300H-U has been streaming beautifully,” stated Ross Goulette, owner of Advanced Light & Sound. “The system was very easy to setup, and the pre-configuration services it offered made uptime quick, saving time and labor costs,” he added. The VIP IP Video Distribution System was implemented in a 10 x 45 matrix and used concurrently with the VPX control automation software. “The VPX software was a breeze to use, the devices were quickly discovered, and the I/O matrix was automatically generated, and the setup tools made the project almost effortless,” stated Goulette. “The user interface is intuitive and easy to operate, and everyone involved with the VIP/VPX system, from design and installation to the end user, has been extremely pleased,” he concluded.
