HDBaseT Excites Industry with Spec 3.0 Uncompressed 4K/60/4:4:4

Booth 921 – Gabi Shriki with Valens, a member of HDBaseT, was excited to share their new product with Matt Scott. At InfoComm 2019, they are introducing the latest and most advanced version of the HDBaseT standard, uncompressed 4K/60/4:4:4. This 3.0 solution allows for higher bandwidth, more flexibility and better performance to address the needs of the ProAV sector.

The Valens VS3000 Configurable Transceiver chipset, which also complies with 3.0, enables the distribution of the uncompressed HDMI2.0 over long distances. It enables integrators to design products with better quality, higher flexibility and significant cost reduction.

Valens is also introducing a new extender cable. With software-based CODEC there is demand for peripherals that can extend the experience. USB is becoming very important to this market. The extender cable product will be very cost competitive, and this device can send and receive the signal over a single pair, leaving the other three pairs for other uses, say power delivery. The distance can be full 100 meters on CAT 5E or CAT6.
