PlanIT AV Launches New Planning & Lifecycle Mgt Tool for AV at IC19

Booth 4191 – PlanIT AV is a cloud-based lifecycle management tool developed specifically for the Pro AV industry. Brian Rolston shows AV Nation’s Matt Scott how PlanIT AV updates systems and keeps track of room and equipment functions while they’re in use and tracks them over time. This allows for robust life cycle management to determine the life of the investment, and it helps plan for capital expenditures. On campuses where there may be many hundreds of rooms, the time savings and accuracy in planning is welcome for senior managers.

There are two phases to the tool; the first is project planning. PlanIT AV gathers information and processes it so that companies can plan for updating, maintaining and expanding their systems. The other component is managing AV systems, calculating when life cycles are ending so updates should be made. IT and Tech Managers can monitor the information and report to senior managers so that purchases can be accurately predicted.

In the fourth quarter, PlanIT AV will introduce an integrator/consultant version of their product so that they can provide added services

AVNation is a collective of audiovisual professionals. Our hosts, panelists, writers, and producers all work in the AV industry in some capacity. That gives us a unique perspective on the industry and allows us to ask questions end users, technology managers, IT managers, and AV integrators would ask. Our coverage of InfoComm 2019 comes from these points of view. Everything we are able to do is made possible by our supporters who provide the financial support for AVNation. We are always looking for new voices. If you want to have your point of view heard contact us by clicking here. Let us know who you are and what you have to say.
