Shure ReBrands to Signal New Energy in the Audio Markets They Serve

Booth 5845 – In the Shure booth, Chris Lyons explains to AV Nation’s Matt Scott that Shure’s recent rebranding is meant to signal their new energy and renewed commitment to the markets they serve. Audio is so important to the end user experience, and it’s important that, as an industry, we continue to press into new technological territory. To that end, one focus for sure is education. On the website, users – both integrators and end users – can download all kinds of educational information about Shure products.

The MXA910 ceiling array microphone has been an incredibly popular product, so now Shure has turbo-charged it with more DSP and capability by building in Intellimix. This gives the 910 more acoustic echo cancellation, electronic noise reduction, automatic mixing, and automatic gain control just to name a few new features. There is also a feature called Auto-Focus – so if someone leans back or stands up, the microphone shifts in real time to stay focused on the talker. Additionally, Shure has added these out-of-the-box set-up abilities with less configuration, making it more of a turnkey solution. This is all backward compatible by adding the firmware to your existing 910 at no cost.

Lyons also talks about evolving conference systems to be sensitive to style needs, like non-standard ceilings. Now, Shure is adding an option for gooseneck mics to give people more options. Appearance should never be an obstacle to incredible audio.

AVNation is a collective of audiovisual professionals. Our hosts, panelists, writers, and producers all work in the AV industry in some capacity. That gives us a unique perspective on the industry and allows us to ask questions end users, technology managers, IT managers, and AV integrators would ask. Our coverage of InfoComm 2019 comes from these points of view. Everything we are able to do is made possible by our supporters who provide the financial support for AVNation. We are always looking for new voices. If you want to have your point of view heard contact us by clicking here. Let us know who you are and what you have to say.
