Ring Continues To Innovate On The Doorbell at CEDIA Expo 2019

Knock Three Times

For our continuing coverage of CEDIA Expo 2019, Matt Scott talks to General Manager of Ring Andrew Vloyanetes about the expansion of their video doorbell line.

Ring’s latest addition is the Door View Cam. Designed to be installed in the place of a standard peephole, it comes with standard Ring operations including motion detection, two-way talk and remote access. What is unique to this feature is a knock sensor capable of sensing when a person is knocking on your door. Ring also showcased the Video Doorbell Elite, with Power over Ethernet capabilites. In addition, Ring is launching a dealer program for integrators.

Ring was founded in 2013. The first iteration, Doorbot was crowdfunded and raised over $300,000. Since then, the company has raised more than $200 million in investors and sales. More information about Ring and their line of products can be found on their website.
