Bose debuts their Videobar VB1 at ISE 2020

AVNation’s Matt Scott interviews Bose’s Darryl Bryans about the company’s new Videobar VB1, a huddle room solution that signals Bose’s entry into the workplace conferencing category under the segment, Bose Work.

“Bose has been creating great audio experiences for your home, your car, businesses for over 50 years,” Bryans says. “One place we have been absent is the workplace. So we see as a big opportunity to bring the Bose experience to where you work.”

Citing research that predicts that by 2022 more than 70 percent of meetings will be conducted in a huddle room, Scott asks how Bose will fit into this space.

“The Bose Videobar VB1 is our new huddle room and medium size room solution,” Bryans explains. “We also have something for the larger rooms. So people will recognize it. It’s an all in one product so it is compatible with what people are trying do in those huddle rooms. The deployment is so rapid; people are looking for something that they can quickly add to a monitor and get the camera, the video, the audio and the microphones all in one, plug in and away it goes; that is what the Videobar does.

“What is slightly different about this product is that we don’t stop at the traditional 10-foot-deep room; we go to 20 feet,” Bryans adds, “and we do that without any additional microphones; nothing new on the table, no cables to pull.”

The Videobar V1 is one of three products announced this morning and showcased under the Bose Work banner in Hall 7 Booth 200 at ISE 2020.
