Christie showcases blended projector solution at ISE 2020

On day one of ISE 2020, AVNation’s Matt Scott speaks with Christie Digital’s Miles Donovan about the company’s Roadie 4K40-RGB pure laser projector, which features an all-in-one design coupled with Christie’s proprietary RGB pure laser illumination and integrated cooling. At the booth (I-H70), Christie is demonstrating two of the projectors as an edge blending solution.

“For us, it is all about the size, the weight and how compact these projectors are,” Donovan says. “So typically for RGB illumination of this type, of this brightness, you would need to have external chillers, external laser racks, but here it is all in one design. For us, that makes it more flexibly in its applications and its use.”

Christie Digital designed the value-packed Roadie 4K40-RGB for rigorous applications including live events, location-based entertainment, or any large venue or large surface requirement, where the edge blending can be achieved using the company’s Mystique automated camera-based alignment and recalibration solution.

“The projector is compatible with Mystic software solution,” Donovan explains. “It can come as an integrator package where you are using that camera and that software.”
