InfoComm 2020 Connected officially opens registration

AVIXA has also outlined a number of sessions that will define the virtual event

AVIXA, the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association, has officially opened registration for its virtual show InfoComm 2020 Connected, taking place June 16-18. The show will gather thought leaders from an array of pro AV disciplines representing all corners of the globe to lead conversations on the opportunities and challenges facing the industry.

“A talented assembly of industry leaders will converge for InfoComm 2020 Connected to invoke an abundance of lively and constructive conversations on the most top-of-mind issues,” said Rochelle Richardson, CEM, Senior Vice President of Expositions and Events, AVIXA. “The show presents a dynamic virtual learning program designed to improve the crafts of pro AV professionals and enhance the experiences they create around the world.”

Kay Sargent, Senior Principal/Director of Workspace for HOK, and member of AVIXA’s Board of Directors, will be joined by Pam Light, Senior Principal, Regional Leader of Workplace, HOK, and Adriana Rojas, Principal Director of Interiors, HOK, to discuss what technology experts need to know about the future of workplace design, especially given the current COVID-19 crisis. They will examine technology trends through a design lens, exploring the factors that are spurring the evolution of the workspace.

In the session “Your Socially Distant Workforce,” Joshua Weisberg, President of Navolo Audio Video, Rich Tate, Managing Director of Show Services, LMG, and Michelle E. Christian, Account Manager for EVENTEQ, will discuss how the post-COVID-19 live events environment will require a different workforce deployment than in the past. Event vendors will have to find methods for providing adequate numbers of not only qualified, but certifiably healthy event staff. The conversation will tackle issues, such as what happens if your number one technician is turned away from the jobsite when they don’t pass the health check?

Moderator Brock McGinnis, Principal, avitaas inc., will be joined by Joe Dunbar, Senior Account Executive, Diversified, and Victoria Ferrari, Senior Account Executive, Conference Technologies, to discuss how the AV industry has stepped up to help communities and businesses continue to connect and prosper during the widespread quarantine. This session will center on how integrators have extended empathy and generosity to their customers in this time of crisis and how they can rebuild their revenue streams without damaging those relationships as some states and regions begin to reopen.

In addition to the education program, InfoComm 2020 Connected will host a virtual trade show where pro AV companies will present their products and solutions in virtual showcases and host live and on-demand exhibitor presentations. There will also be several networking opportunities, including council meetings, the AVIXA Awards ceremony, and much more.

InfoComm 2020 Connected is free to attend and the virtual platform will remain live June 19-August 21 for attendees to browse exhibitor showcases and view on-demand sessions. Check out infocommshow.org for more information and visit www.infocommshow.org/register to register.
