Signagelive provides Australian agribusiness firm with digital signage system to help market new initiatives and improve client reach
AGnVET Services Group is an independently owned Australian agribusiness with specialist locally branded businesses located throughout Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania. Each branch has a unique service offering to suit its local customer base covering products and services including Rural Merchandise, Fertiliser, Seed, Agricultural Chemicals, Animal Health and Nutrition, Insurance, Real Estate, Grain Storage, Livestock Marketing, Property Management and Agronomy Services.
AGnVET needed to address the issue of marketing content and new initiatives not reaching end clients/customers. AGnVET reviewed four other SaaS digital marketing content solutions and Signagelive was both best fit for purpose and had a high usability option for their non-technical marketing department.
Typically, signage would be sent to a printer, then the printed promotional materials would be sent to the branch network for inclusion in merchandise displays. AGnVET could not ensure the consistency of their marketing messages to our end clients, physical posters would not be put up, or they had no control over where they were placed.
The Solution
AGnVET currently has Signagelive screens installed in 43 retail locations delivering marketing content to their end clients. This is a mix of 49” LG Digital Signs for locations with larger POS areas and 22.5in. IAdea Screens for mounting on countertops in smaller locations.
Set up is easy and it just works. AGnVET can easily see the status of their devices to determine if they have been turned off or used for other purposes. AGnVET favorite feature includes Players checking in and device status. They have a very widespread customer base with different wants and needs due to location, so the ability to customize content via multiple playlist and tags has meant they are able to customize content at a granular level.
The biggest challenge for AGnVET was getting past the hurdle of their branch staff not really understanding what the purpose of digital signage screens were. Once they saw them in action, they did a complete 180° turn and changed their view.
“Having worked in IT for over 25 years, I feel like overall, this project was, put simply, fun! We covered about 7000kms rolling out the screens, so to keep the project within budget, you need to minimize time spent at each location,” said Jay Wilkinson, business systems analyst, AGnVET Services. “Due to the fact this system just works, from unboxing a screen to installing the player, we were able to move on quite quickly. Quite often installing in 4-5 locations a day.”
Signagelive is easy to use, very robust and is a reliable system for the delivery of marketing and company messages. It provides visual cues, both conscious and subconscious to their customers.
AGnVET had a digital sign in the window of a store they were in the process of opening and it generated sales before the shop even opened.
“It was a pleasure to have been given the opportunity to propose the Signagelive platform to Jay and the AGnVET Services Team,” said Nick Curulli, business development manager, Australia, New Zealand, Signagelive . “We were able to meet and exceed their expectations on many levels. The two main ones being the content management features, and choice of hardware to suit their specific needs.”
