Audience appoints Phil DuCote as audio engineer

DuCote will be involved in the engineering of all Audience products including speakers, cables, power conditioners and accessories

Audience has announced it has appointed Phil DuCote as its new audio engineer. DuCote will be involved in the engineering of all Audience products including speakers, cables, power conditioners and accessories.

Phil DuCote has been a loudspeaker designer for Audience over the past two years. He has an extensive background in a variety of engineering disciplines including CAD (computer aided design), testing, quality control, digital electronics, acoustics, CIM (computer-integrated manufacturing) and other areas.

“I’m excited to become more involved in the development of new Audience products, as well as looking at possible refinements to existing Audience designs,” said DuCote. “We have some extremely interesting ideas in the works and I look forward to taking a greater part in helping to make them happen.”

Prior to joining Audience, DuCote held positions at Hickory Audio Lab, Furlow-Philbeck Consulting Engineers, Three Phase Audio, The Central Louisiana Electric Company and Brute Force Audio. In addition to his manufacturing expertise DuCote has been an educator at Buford High School, the Atlanta, GA Department of Technical and Adult Education, Gwinnett Technical Institute and Southern Technical College. He was an officer in the US Air Force and has PhD and Masters degrees from the University of Georgia and a BA from the University of Louisiana.
