Digital Signage Expo Owners Close

COVID-19 has claimed another victim in exhibitors

Exponation, the owners and showrunners of Digital Signage Expo (DSE) announced they filed for bankruptcy protection. The process includes the liquidation of all assets and is “in the hands of trustees” according to the organization.

An email to Chris Gibbs the president and COO was not returned.

DSE was launched in 2003 by Exponation. The show’s larges show was in 2015. In 2019 the show had it’s second-biggest audience at 4,260. Compartiviely, InfoComm in 2019 registered 40,000 attendees. The small number is not to indicate the show wasn’t valuable to digital signage mainstays. Manufacturers, designers, creatives, and end-users consistently ranked DSE among one of their favorites to attend.
