Amino Launches High Performance Media Player for Digital Signage Market

CAMBRIDGE, EnglandAmino, the global media and entertainment technology solutions provider, announces the launch of the next-generation Amino Enterprise product line. The Amino Enterprise solution portfolio features the new powerful Amino H200 Media Player, Enterprise Software Development Kit (SDK), and the Amino Engage SaaS platform. With support for advanced 4K solutions, Power-over-Ethernet (PoE), and custom app development, the solution provides the enterprise sector with the cutting-edge capabilities and specialised functionality the market requires. Amino Enterprise solutions have been deployed in a range of environments including corporate, education, finance, government, hospitality, military, retail and venues.

“We have been the supplier of the leading media players for the enterprise sector for over two decades and the launch of our powerful new solutions keeps us there,” said Amino CEO, Donald McGarva. “Our enterprise devices have always enjoyed a reputation for amazing reliability, but we now have capabilities for low latency and 4K content, which are key differentiators for enterprise customers.”

The Amino H200 is designed to deliver content across a diverse range of scenarios, some of which are highly challenging; from in-room hospitality through to public space signage and advertising applications where demand for 4K-based services is growing rapidly. Partners can easily integrate their end-to-end solutions, including Android or HTML5 applications, using the Enterprise SDK. The H200 and its SDK are easily integrated with Amino partners’ go-to-market solutions, giving the flexibility and reliability required for a wide range of deployment scenarios. Amino’s Enterprise ecosystem comprises world-leading distribution, technology, and systems integrator partners.

Amino’s SaaS device management platform, Amino Engage, provides centralised management of geographically dispersed devices — critical for the enterprise sector. The platform streamlines the ability to easily and remotely establish settings or update firmware, software and apps. This means Amino customers enjoy streamlined support and the most up-to-date software features.

Packaged in a rugged metal chassis which protects it in physically-hostile environments a standard consumer set-top box would not survive, the H200 delivers ‘always-on’ and ‘out-of-sight’ operation. Sector-specific features include a PoE capability for single-cable installation that reduces installation time and cost, a TVI Serial Interface port, IR extender port and VESA mounting support, and out-of-sight operation. No compromise has been made in the user experience and the H200 combines the latest AV1 and HEVC video decoders to provide the best user experience and most efficient use of the network. A powerful processor with graphics acceleration ensures fast rendering of high-quality graphics required in signage applications.

“Amino is a perfect ecosystem partner. You don’t realise all of the backend engineering that goes into making the final solution work. We’ve been very successful in delivering Amino enterprise devices to a variety of customers in the cruise ship, hospitality, and healthcare sectors,” said Rob Narzisi, Sales Manager, Enterprise/Private Networks at Advanced Media Technologies, Inc.

The Amino H200 Media Player will be available from Amino’s channel partners in EMEA, the Americas, and APAC from July 2021. For more information on Amino in Enterprise, please visit: https://enterprise.amino.tv/
