Josh.ai to Unveil Updates and Partnerships For Their Line of Products

Josh.ai is preparing to unveil updates as well as partnerships for all their products for the fall. The leaders of voice control and AI solutions took into consideration all the feedback given by their 700 certified dealers. The new updates will be unveiled through webinars and virtual training material throughout the fall to supplement the announcement.

Josh.ai CEO Alex Capecelatro says his company’s mission is to make the smart home experience delightful and transformative. “The strategic advancements we have made in the last year… have us extremely excited for the future,” Capecelatro said. Here’s what you can expect from the Josh.ai announcement.

Partnerships

Josh.ai expands its reach by collaborating with some of the leaders in the AV space. AV Nation recently reported about Lutron’s Josh.ai Ready Wallplate, bringing elegance and grace to your smart home.

Josh.ai is also partnering with Crestron Home, bringing the power of voice control to Crestron clients. Wall mount solutions manufacturer Wall-Smart Designs will create a custom wall mount for the Josh Nano. The new design removes the 3mm lip to make Josh Nano seamlessly blend into the wall or ceiling.

AVPro Edge has become the first manufacturer to add Josh.ai’s VoiceCast capabilities into its products, giving users the opportunity to route responses to a Josh Micro or Josh Nano.

Updates

Josh.ai’s new updates offer more solutions to their customers and vendors alike. Upgrades to the Josh.ai Portal give installers the flexibility to change or adjust network settings for Josh Nano projects. This includes not having to reset the hardware when changing the WiFi credentials. In addition to having access to Josh Portal, installers can set up new Josh products through the mobile app. The media library for Josh.ai customers has also expanded, supporting more platforms like Peacock, HBO Max, SiriusXM, and Tidal.

Voice commands become much smoother for natural communication. Users now have two wake words Josh will accept. Either “Ok, Josh” or “Hey, Josh” will activate the microphones throughout your home. Music grouping has significantly improved thanks to Josh.ai’s Natural Language solution. No more clunky commands when trying to merge music from different rooms.

Home Integration

The industry’s first touchless home intercom is expected to release this fall. Josh.ai already offered one-way communication to send messages throughout the home, but with a two-way intercom system, customers are given a new range of possibilities. For instance, you can give an announcement throughout the house, and individuals in other rooms can send a response back. The new intercom feature is now available to new and existing Josh clients at no extra charge.

Home theaters are about to get a major upgrade. Josh.ai will showcase their newest integration with Kaleidescape’s remote control. Customers will be able to access Kaleidescape remotes via Josh.ai’s voice and app remote interface. Be able to script commands and access other options all in the palm of your hands.

Josh.ai planned to attend CEDIA Expo 2021, however they have decided to pull out of this year’s convention citing concerns over the increased cases of COVID-19. The company still plans to roll out the updates as scheduled.
