Back in Las Vegas at InfoComm 2022, AVNation’s Rich Fregosa is in conversation with Brad Hintze, Crestron’s Executive Vice President of Marketing. Since the last in-person show, Brad and his team at Crestron have taken a deep dive into meeting equity, its growing importance, and innovated opportunities to attain it.

With that in mind, one of their focuses over the past year has been ensuring that everybody has an excellent audiovisual experience—one that is optimized for whatever role they play on the team, and whether they’re a remote participant or in the meeting room itself. In combining existing Crestron technologies—intelligent cameras, flex video conferencing, integration and networking with other brands, and more—they have created Sightline, an experience that benefits everyone involved.

While a lot of the industry has been focused on the role that remote team members play and the technology that suits them, Crestron has found a way to incorporate those on both ends of the hybrid model. Today’s meeting spaces still often need to accommodate many people, and small solutions won’t necessarily cut it. Brad considers Sightline a starting point, noting that the modern technology landscape calls for constant innovation, and also leaving room for customers and partners to change and evolve these offerings to meet their unique needs.

Brad acknowledges that while some may be hesitant to explore such new and sophisticated tech, Sightline offers a concrete visual of a hybrid setup that’s working, and working smoothly. The team at Crestron personally tested their designs, improving them time and time again after experiencing setbacks and challenges that could only be found through trial and error. Sightline is not a vision for the future—it’s happening right now. Designs and details are available on their website.

We’ll have more coverage of Crestron and other integrators coming up as the event continues. Read more about InfoComm 2022 here.
