Atlona Adds to Latest Omega Series of Presentation Switchers

Atlona, a Panduit company, is the manufacturer of AV distribution, collaboration, and control solutions, focusing on quality, user experience, simplicity, and management.

Atlona will showcase its new Omega series of AV presentation and collaboration systems at InfoComm, specifically the models AT-OME-CS31-SA, AT-OME-CS31-SA-HDBT, and the newly introduced AT-OME-CS31-SA-C. These systems integrate AV switching, USB routing, audio mixing, amplification, and control into compact enclosures designed for various educational and collaborative environments.

These new Omega series systems address the growing needs of modern classrooms and collaborative workspaces by providing all-in-one AV solutions with essential features such as USB-C connectivity, audio ducking, and powerful digital signal processing capabilities. The showcase at InfoComm allows customers and partners to experience the integration and functionality of these systems firsthand.

Atlona will bring its new Omega series of AV presentation and collaboration systems for learning and meeting spaces to InfoComm (C7041), where all three units will be displayed together for the first time. Introduced at ISE 2024 and now shipping, the AT-OME-CS31-SA (three HDMI® inputs) and AT-OME-CS31-SA-HDBT (one HDBaseT™ input and two HDMI inputs) both consolidate AV switching, USB routing, audio mixing, amplification, and control into low-profile enclosures sized perfectly for placement behind displays.

Both switchers primarily share the same feature set, with key variances in AV switching and USB capabilities to meet specific requirements. The OME-CS31-SA is built for local switching applications that place its inputs close to the switcher and display, such as a classroom where the instructor’s desk is positioned near the front wall. The OME-CS31-SA-HDBT accommodates remote and local AV switching and is therefore most effective when an input is further from the switcher, such as at an instructor’s lectern in the room or if the switcher is mounted by a projector. The remote input of the OME-CS31-SA-HDBT supports extension of HDMI, Ethernet, power, control, and USB 2.0 data up to 100 meters (330 feet).

At InfoComm, Atlona will introduce a third entry to the series, the AT-OME-CS31-SA-C, which supports switching between one USB-C input and two HDMI inputs to a single HDMI output. The AT-OME-CS31-SA-C, which begins shipping in July, was specifically developed to support the growing desire for USB-C connectivity inside collaborative environments.

“Atlona’s OME-CS31 series of AV presentation and collaboration products combine essential capabilities to address the AV needs of many modern classrooms and workspaces, soon to be strengthened with USB-C support,” said Tommy Gay, Product Manager, Atlona. “At InfoComm, we invite our customers and partners to see how this new series brings together several key engineering strengths from Atlona across switching, audio, USB, and control, offering our customers all-in-one room solutions.”

OME-CS31 switchers add special capabilities for education applications that ensure important lesson material and announcements are heard clearly. This includes audio ducking which lowers program audio levels when the instructor speaks into a microphone system connected to the balanced input. Additionally, the system can be muted by contact closure or automatically when a school public address announcement is detected. The powerful digital signal processing capabilities also allow mixing a variety of audio sources to the amplifier, line, and USB audio outputs as well as acoustic echo cancellation to automatically eliminate echo for remote USB audio.

For USB routing, OME-CS31 models support switching between two host devices and include a four-port hub for connecting cameras, speakerphones, interactive displays or other peripherals. Automatic display control provides automated system operation over Ethernet, serial, and CEC, or the switchers can be integrated into environments with an Atlona Velocity™ control system.

Make sure to visit Atlona booth C7041 at InfoComm, June 12-14 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, to see the OME-CS31 Series and our other exciting AV solutions.
