Tightrope Media Systems is proud to announce it has been named a Top Workplace for 2024 by the Star Tribune. The Minneapolis-based newspaper recognized 200 top workplace companies in the Twin Cities and across Minnesota in 2024. Tightrope ranked sixth in the small business (50-149 employees) category. There were also companies recognized in the large (500+ employees) and midsize (150-499 employees) categories.
JJ Parker, co-founder and CEO of Tightrope Media Systems, credits the company’s culture and work style for the positive feedback that generated the award. “It really comes down to flexibility, autonomy and trust. I think that’s the core pieces of our culture that make it an amazing place to work,” he said. “This award is a reflection of that philosophy.”
Tightrope is the parent company of Carousel Digital Signage, which offers content management software for digital signage systems, and Cablecast Community Media, which provides a platform for community media organizations and government access channels to distribute video programming across cable channels, websites, and mobile and OTT platforms.
Kayla Creamer had been a Tightrope customer for almost a decade before joining the team. “The company had very little turnaround, which is always a good sign,” said Creamer, who is a customer success manager for Cablecast. “I understand why as an employee. As a remote company, it feels anything but remote. There’s plenty of support from everyone on the team. I have a work-life balance with Tightrope that I never had with previous jobs.”
“I was drawn to join the Tightrope team by their commitment to innovation and their supportive, collaborative culture,” added Mitch Albers, a digital media specialist for Carousel. “Working here has exceeded my expectations, as every day brings new challenges and opportunities to grow alongside a truly incredible group. Tightrope’s dedication to fostering a positive and dynamic work environment truly makes it a Top Workplace – and I couldn’t be happier to be a part of it.”
