CTI appoints new Chief People Officer: Cathy Kelly

Cathy Kelly has been named as the Chief People Officer for CTI, a technology integrator headquartered in St. Louis, MO. (editor’s note: AVNation is a sister company of CTI).

Kelly started at CTI more than 25 years ago and has worked in several capacities over that tenure. She opened the company’s first satellite office in Kansas City and served as head of operations, as well as Chief Strategy Officer.

See below for the official announcement from CEO John Laughlin.

I’m thrilled to announce that Cathy Kelly is stepping into the role of Chief People Officer at CTI! This is the perfect next chapter for someone who has been a cornerstone of the company’s success for over twenty-five years. Honestly, Cathy’s impact goes beyond titles and offices.

As Chief People Officer, she won’t just be leading HR. Cathy will redefine what it means to put people first, ensuring everyone is in the right place, at the right time, and doing the right things. Her unique blend of strategic genius and heartfelt commitment to our core philosophy –people first– makes her the ideal person to lead our people strategy into the future.
Let’s rewind the tape for a moment. Cathy’s incredible journey began when CTI was just a small but mighty crew of 8. Today, we’re a powerhouse of over 1,000 rockstars. Many of whom have been inspired by Cathy’s leadership. She’s been here every step of the way, helping us grow, evolve, and reach new heights.Cathy has done it all.

She started as a receptionist, juggling phones and accounting. Cathy then moved into inside sales, touch panel design, project management, and engineering. In 2001, she took a giant leap, moved to Kansas City, and opened our first office outside St. Louis.

After returning to St. Louis, Cathy became our Director of Operations, then Chief Operating Officer. She became our Chief Strategy Officer, playing a pivotal role in CTI’s nationwide expansion. Her results have been epic, growing us to 38 locations nationwide and taking CTI global!

As Cathy takes on this new role, we’re beyond confident that her leadership will continue to propel CTI forward, helping us thrive in ways we’ve only dreamed of. So, let’s raise a glass (or a coffee mug) and toast to Cathy, her remarkable journey, and the incredible future ahead for all of us!

Here’s to Cathy and the next exciting chapter of CTI!
