C2G Expands Bulk Category Cable Offering

C2G, a Legrand | AV brand, is a leading manufacturer of high-performance cabling and connectivity solutions, serving various markets including corporate, digital signage, education, healthcare, home theater, hospitality, and government.

C2G has launched a new range of bulk Ethernet cables (Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6a), available in 1,000-foot spools. These cables meet TAA and ANSI/TIA 568.2-D standards and are offered with various jacket ratings (CM, CMR, CMP) for different applications. They also come in unshielded and shielded options, featuring next-generation packaging to save space and improve cable payout.

The new bulk cables offer high-performance and reliable solutions for IT and AV integrators, enhancing ease of installation and productivity. The updated packaging helps reduce waste and lower shipping costs, making the product more efficient for structured cabling deployments.

C2G, a brand of Legrand | AV, today announced the availability of its new range of bulk Ethernet cables, including Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6a options, available in 1,000-feet (304.8-meter) spools of various colors. This high-quality category cable is compliant with TAA and meets ANSI/TIA 568.2-D standards. With the line, C2G also introduces innovative packaging that helps save space and improves cable payout.

“C2G’s new bulk category cabling offers the highest standards of performance and reliability that our customers expect,” said Mark Plummer, Vice President and General Manager of C2G. “From meeting and exceeding ANSI/TIA 568.2-D standards to the next-generation packaging that enhances productivity, this cabling line delivers both superior performance and ease of installation across a wide range of structured cabling deployments.”

Flexible Offering to Fit Any Application
Perfect for customized network installations, the C2G Bulk Category Cable line offers a variety of technologies, jacket ratings, and colors to suit different applications. IT and AV integrators can choose from CMR (riser), CMP (plenum), and CM (standard) ratings. CMR cables are designed for vertical cabling between building floors and meet safety standards to help prevent the spread of fire. CMP cables are ideal for areas with strict fire safety requirements, particularly where air circulation is a concern, providing the highest level of fire resistance. CM jacket ratings are suitable for general-purpose cabling within buildings, offering a less stringent level of fire resistance, making them suitable for areas where fire safety is less critical.

Additionally, C2G’s Bulk Category Cable line features both unshielded and shielded options. Unlike the unshielded cable (UTP), the shielded F/UTP (Foiled Unshielded Twisted Pair) includes an integrated metal foil screen with a drain wire, significantly reducing electromagnetic interference (EMI) and crosstalk. This design ensures superior signal transmission and minimizes data errors.

Next-Generation Cable Packaging
C2G Bulk Category Cable is delivered in next-generation packaging that uses less cardboard and less plastic while delivering a smooth, hassle-free cable-pulling experience that helps improve productivity. The slim packaging reduces cardboard waste, while its inner spool design uses less plastic and delivers a tangle-free cable-pulling experience. The slimmer package also allows shipment and storage of more cable in the same amount of space as before. Because more boxes fit onto each pallet, companies can potentially save on shipping costs.
