Booth 2500 – To celebrate 40 years of solid rack options for the AV industry, Middle Atlantic, a brand of LeGrand AV. gives a whole new twist to some annoying standard rack features. Megan Knedler of LeGrand/Middle Atlantic demonstrated some of the new features within their popular BGR series of racks to AV Nation’s Phil Cordell in Booth 2500 at InfoComm 2019. The changes take racks to the next level saving both time and space – they do it by going vertical!
Every rack in the BGR series has a new rail that features a square hole. The square hole allows for easy mounting of accessories and eliminates the need for rack screws. “No more round pegs in a square hole!” Megan notes. This simple innovation will save time on lacing bars, ties wraps, etc. There are also now slots along the rack rail that allow for vertical mounting of lever locks. By going vertical, BGR series will allow for tool freel vertical cable management anywhere in the rack. The new solution will be available to ship late summer 2019.

AVNation is a collective of audiovisual professionals. Our hosts, panelists, writers, and producers all work in the AV industry in some capacity. That gives us a unique perspective on the industry and allows us to ask questions end users, technology managers, IT managers, and AV integrators would ask. Our coverage of InfoComm 2019 comes from these points of view. Everything we are able to do is made possible by our supporters who provide the financial support for AVNation. We are always looking for new voices. If you want to have your point of view heard contact us by clicking here. Let us know who you are and what you have to say.
