CEDIA adds to Spanish language offerings at EXPO

This year’s CEDIA Expo contains more Spanish language courses

FISHERS, Ind. – The countdown to CEDIA Expo continues and CEDIA is showcasing a significant slate of valuable classes that will be offered this year in Spanish. In addition to CEDIA Certification opportunities, home technology professionals can expand their skill set through basic and intermediate-level courses in Spanish covering topics related to ethernet networks, audio calibration, in-home wireless technology, and home theater design. The 2019 CEDIA Expo will run September 10-14 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver. CEDIA courses and certification exams in Spanish will be offered on Thursday, September 12; Friday, September 13; and Saturday, September 14.

“The availability of so much high-quality training in Spanish demonstrates CEDIA’s mission to be the number one source of industry education, for all learners in this industry,” said CEDIA Senior Director of Education Samantha Ventura. “With five courses and two certification exams being offered in Spanish this year, CEDIA is answering the call from our Spanish-speaking learners in the home technology industry, and our membership. Our Spanish-speaking instructors are experienced, dedicated contributors to the channel and you’ll find their teaching reaches a wide variety of experience levels and subject matters.”

2019 courses in Spanish include:

Fundamentals of Home Theater Design – SP Learn how a well-thought-out design can lead to trouble-free and error-free work and deliver a great experience for the client. Topics covered include cinematic experience, room design, audio and video system configuration, and acoustics.

Audio Technologies for Technicians – SP Explore the basics of how analogue and digital sounds are recorded, shared, and distributed throughout the home. Learn about speaker, acoustic, and distribution concepts to prepare attendees for more advanced training.

Using Smartphones and Tablets as Wireless Sources in the Home – SP This course will help integrators understand opportunities available with the growing world of smartphone, tablet, and other personal media player technology that continues to flood the market. Learn how to help your customers maximize performance and customer satisfaction of wireless technologies in their homes.

Audio Setup and Calibration – SP Audio calibration within a home theater environment is complex. This course will explore proper audio system design and teach you how to correctly use calibration equipment to efficiently dial in the acoustics of a home theater.

Designing Ethernet Networks – SP Explore careful home network design techniques to bring together all subsystems for an IP network. Participants will analyze the bandwidth and quality of service (QoS), as well as study correct hardware specifications for network infrastructure. Wired, wireless, and future technologies will be covered.

Additionally, integrators will have multiple opportunities throughout CEDIA Expo to take the CEDIA Electronic System Certified – Technician (ESC-T) exam and the CEDIA Electronic System Certified (ESC) exam.

CEDIA Expo is the largest annual residential technology show with some 20,000 home technology professionals and more than 500 exhibitors. The event runs September 10-14.
