Dolby and Extron come together for UC

Extron integrates Dolby Voice Room into DSP

Anaheim, California (August 25, 2020) – Extron is pleased to announce it has collaborated with Dolby to integrate the Dolby Voice Room solution with Extron DSP processors, MediaPort 200, Pro Series AV control solutions, and more. This extends Extron Pro AV capabilities to the Dolby Conference Phone, Dolby Hub, and the Dolby Voice Cameras, providing complete AV and conferencing solutions for the modern meeting space. When incorporated with an Extron Pro Series control system, this complete solution can be scaled to any room size and managed from a single touchpanel. Occupancy sensors can also be added to automate system power to turn on displays when participants enter a room. The solution provides a new level of convenience, providing effortless, centralized control of other in-room AV devices, all with the goal of delivering an exceptional collaboration experience.

“It’s exciting to see the innovations evolving from our ongoing collaboration with Dolby,” says Casey Hall, Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing for Extron. “Our new support for Dolby Voice Room gives integrators a scalable audio and video communications solution with plenty of options to meet the needs of any size application.”

“Working with Extron, we’ve developed a new DSP integration with Dolby Voice Room that delivers scalable, high quality audio to rooms of any size,” said Patrick Ferriter, Vice President of Business Development, Communications Business Group, Dolby. “With this innovation and our support for room control integration, Dolby and Extron can now offer a true integrated video meeting room solution that can be leveraged by any cloud meetings service provider offering the Dolby Voice Room”.

Every day, millions around the world have their experiences enhanced by Extron AV signal processing, distribution, and control technologies. Our continued work with Dolby brings audio and control elements together; helping people collaborate in their workspaces and across their enterprise.
