Home Technology Association Announces Collaboration with Interior Design Society

Home Technology Association (HTA) partners with Interior Design Society (IDS), providing IDS with a library of educational resources. In turn, IDS will spread the word about the importance of using HTA Certified home technology integrators.

“We are thrilled to forge this relationship with IDS as it solidifies initiatives we have been working on since the HTA’s inception: To bridge the gap between the design-build and integration communities and to become a valued and go-to resource for interior designers. Technology is an ever more important aspect of our lives, especially at home, and the Home Technology Association was created to be a key resource to designers and building professionals. The HTA helps interior designers and homeowners find the industry’s best home technology integration firms that know how to blend and hide technology into a home’s interiors in ways that augment, not clash, with the interior designer’s vision,” says Josh Christian, CEO of HTA.

IDS is one of country’s largest design organizations dedicated to serving the residential interior design industry. They offer members a place to belong within a supportive and welcoming design community either virtually or through local chapters. The new collaboration is part of a series of partnerships HTA will make over the coming months. HTA seeks to align more deeply with associations and organizations from both the home technology industry and adjacent trades.

“IDS recognizes the importance of technology in our everyday lives, no more than ever. We are excited to partner with HTA to further educate our interior designer members on how to incorporate technology services and products into their projects,” said Jenny Cano, Executive Director of IDS. “We hope to strengthen the relationship between our industries.”
