It was announced that Peloton CEO John Foley would be stepping down from his position. In addition, the company is laying off 2800 employees globally. You might be wondering what this has to do with AV, and the simple answer is quite a lot. Not just the technology present within the equipment, but the service model that Peloton initially thrived upon. Is this a parable in the making for hardware as a service and other service model strategies? Is the industry ready for models like it? Looking at where the service model fits within the AV industry, if at all.

Zoom used to be a niche product, but after the pandemic is has become a household name ubiquitous with remote conferencing. So why is AV Magazine if there’s still room for Zoom? The company worked with the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China to dismantle fake ARCS II loudspeakers. What can integrators and manufacturers do to ensure that counterfeits like these don’t end up on a jobsite?
