Happy Women in Construction week! It’s time to look at the latest news coming out of the residential side of the AV industry and talk about with some experts in the field. Joining us this week is Co-Owner of TruMedia Home Amanda Wildman and Executive Editor at CE Pro Arlen Schweiger.

Savant is partnering with Wilson Electronics. Wilson is well known for their cellular signal booster solutions weBoost and WilsonPro. Although the article is around this partnership, there isn’t much in the way of what each company will be doing in tandem. We speculate on what might be in store for this partnership and what it means for both companies moving forward.

Boston Automations is taking advantage of pre-wired solutions for brand new homes in The Preserve at Mill Pond. As homes become more modern it’s only fitting that smart home solutions be taken in account at the ground level of a home’s development. Will this be the new standard when it comes to planning and designing a home, or is it a one-shot relegated to just this spot in Boston? What it means to get integrators involved on the ground floor and building a home with AV in mind.

Bowers & Wilkins has introduced their Panorama 3 Soundbar. It is a powerhouse with 13 drivers, twin subwoofers and even support for Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant. Early in their life, soundbars used to be snubbed for their quality, especially compared to standard speakers. However in the past decade, the soundbar has gained traction in popularity, quality and ease of installation for many homes. That being said, where does this product fitin the home space?
