The CSA announces new IoT Device Security Specifications to accompany the FCC’s US Cyber Trust Mark. Before we get an angry letter from Bradford Benn, The Connectivity Standards Alliance wants their own standards on Internet of Things devices alongside the Federal Communications Commission’s own Cyber Trust Mark. Would collaboration like this be the first step for integrators to get involved with the new standards for keeping a network safe?

Next we discuss sound design and speaker location. Considering that sound travels, where it starts and how it bounces (or get absorbed) in a space is a big deal. Specifi IO Inks is entering a data-licensing deal with Snap One. This will make the entire Snap One product portfolio available for integrators on their database. Custom integrators can specify solutions from Snap One into their quotes for projects. We look at the relationship between vendors, project tools and project proposals when it comes to making the sale.
