ISE, Integrated Systems Europe, has become the first stop of the year for manufacturers and integrators throughout the world. There were over 200 new product announcements last year. This gives you a running start on designs and system refreshes starting in the next few months. We will be there and we want to meet you. If you are not making the trek, no worries. This ISE 2018 special section of the AVNation website will have all our shows, interviews, booth tours, and more. Integrated Systems Europe 2018 had Beth Peterson from Vaddio talking with Tim Albright about Vaddio’s new ceiling doc cam. The camera frees up teaching space by placing the camera in the ceiling. They also discussed new camera options for traditional codecs, and hiding PTZ cameras when they are not in use.

Taking their successful line array speakers, Harman has released a smaller version for the commercial audiovisual market. These speakers are rated for outdoor or indoor use. The new JBL line arrays can be used in sports venues for zoned audio, gymnasiums, and more. The speakers should be available in mid-2018.

At Integrated Systems Europe last year, Harman announced a new huddle space device, Acendo. This year they are expanding on that product with an Acendo for a bigger space. Harman is also integrating the camera and speaker system with a BSS DSP for echo cancellation and more.
