NEC Display Solutions has brought out the latest version of their MediaPlayer for digital signage solutions. This kit comes pre-installed on their own Raspberry Pi module. IT technology like the Raspberry Pi has a wealth of uses for anyone in AV. How can integrators leverage that for AV applications?
Ricoh has announced they have acquired the German integrator DataVision. Just to be clear, Ricoh is a manufacturer while DataVision is an integrator. Can you play both sides of the field this way? Taking out the potential ethical complications, is this even a viable business strategy? Looking at what led Ricoh to make this purchase and how it will be handled moving forward.
Christie Digital was involved with the United Launch Alliance’s rocket mapping of the Delta IV Heavy rocket at Cape Canaveral. Not only is this a really cool project, it is something that AV is well equipped to assist in. How can integrators get in on the ground floor for large scale projects like this?
