AVWeek 589: Giving You Time Back

‘Tis The Season

It’s hard to believe it’s already December. But no matter where you are on the calendar, the news doesn’t stop. That’s why we’ve pulled the most important stories about the AV industry to discuss with some experts in the commercial space. Joining host Brian Heidgerken this week is host of IT Factor & Technical Sales Engineer at Audinate Frank Padikkala, Building Technology Designer for HGA Kelly Cicchetti and Business Development Director for AVI-SPL Mark Coxon.

But since it is the season, or rather, ’tis the season, we debate an important topic: Does holiday music deserve any airtime before Thanksgiving? We also discuss the recent downplaying of Black Friday sales and the potential effects on that space.

It’s also around that time for awards and recognition in this industry. SCN has just posted their annual Top 50 Integrators list for 2022. As they report every year, these submissions are voluntary and information provided comes from those companies themselves. Even so, what it does it spell for the AV industry as a whole? And could an accolade like this matter for clients or customers?

We continue the conversation around the watercooler, or rather the virtual version of that since we’re dealing with hybrid workers. A survey by Logitech shows that remote workers are underequipped for videoconferencing. How can companies provide to keep their workforce from home on the same level as those in the office?
