A Question On Content
After the blur that was last week, it’s time to return to some semblance of normalcy with a look at the latest news and information for the commercial side of the AV industry. Joining us this week is Senior Regional Manager for Liberty AV Solutions Christie Mitchell, AV professional Willie Franklin and Software Development Manager for BlackWire Designs Seth Johnson.
Zoom is implementing an intelligent director tool for large meeting rooms. This looks to create an equitable space for those both in the meeting space and the employees in hybrid spaces. This is not the first time we’ve heard about “AI” assisted cameras or software that focuses on different viewers depending on who is talking, but considering how big Zoom has become in the last few years this might be the first time it’s showing up in the mainstream space. Discussing how meetings have changed and where they could still go.
Sharp NEC Display Solutions and Appspace have announced a collaboration for workplace experiences. This combines Sharp’s display technology with Appspace’s content management system to create engaging digital signage and streamline internal communications. Digital signage is one of the main forefronts of the AV industry, considering that it usually involves a display screen. How do we leverage the power of digital signage to clients? This conversation opens itself up to a longer conversation that asks who is responsible for the content side and pushing those updates in digital signage systems.
We also had a story about the world’s largest LED screen over in Vegas known as the MSG Sphere… But the discussion about digital signage spiraled out of control. Tim has sung the praises of LED and displays many times over on this show, so you could stitch together what it means for AV to provide an intensely unique experience like this!
