It’s time to get the latest news and information coming out of the commercial side of the AV industry. Joining us this week is AV veteran Dawn Meade, President of Lightware Americas Clint Hoffman and Assistant Director of Information Technology Services for Yavapai College Ryan Gray.
D&b group announced a major investment by private equity firm Providence. At least, that’s how the story started when we first gathered the stories. Now the headlines say that Providence has acquired d&b group, so that’s what we’re going with. Equity firms and “big money” have gotten involved with our industry a couple of times, so what does it mean for those within the space and the industry as a whole?
Lightware and Sennheiser have made a strategic partnership aimed at boosting their unified communications solutions. Lightware’s matrix switchers will be integrated with Sennheiser’s audio solutions to create a comprehensive ecosystem for communications and collaboration. We discuss what the industry can learn from partnerships like this, and what it means to build a build a better systems for an office space.
We teased it last week, but got too far into a discussion about digital signage to give it is proper time. The MSG Sphere is Las Vegas debuted at the start of the month, showcasing a massive display of LED screens. The largest in the world, even. We discuss what it means to have phenomenal experiential solutions like this that we can point to and say “this is what AV can do”, and the potential of LED screens in artistic ways.
