AVWeek 626: Structured, Flexible Hybrid Work (Maybe)

Zoomin’ In The Office

Do we just wait until we have a good hybrid working story to bring Brian Heidgerken in to host? Either way, we’re here to talk about all the latest stories and news for the commercial side of the AV industry. Joining us this week is Client Growth Manager for Pivot Communications Christa Bender, Senioer Sales Enigneering Manager at Yealink Bill Newman, and Sales Director for RTSales (as well as one part of our own The Women in AV Podcast!) Jennifer Goodyer.

Usually we have a handful of stories to pick from, but the conversation around Zoom’s change to bring remote workers back to the office sparked a larger conversation as a whole. Not about the irony of a company like Zoom, whose platform is all about remote conferencing looking to adopt a ‘structured hybrid approach’ to their workers. We look at how the scope of remote and hybrid working has changed in the last few years, productivity shifts in different environments, and if (or when) the ‘hybrid’ work structure will see an end down the line.
