Digital Signage Digest 18: Future Projections

Unbound By Physical Space

With the world in its current topsy-turvy state, traditional digital signage solutions are not as viable as before. Many places where digital signage is present have been closed or intentionally accepting much less traffic to see these displays. To that end, on this episode of Digital Signage Digest we look at some of the ways companies are using digital signage in new and unique ways for different applications. We first talk to Senior Manager Remi Del Mar and Product Manager Tom Piche from Epson about their new line of mini projectors for digital signage applications and laser display models for use in education spaces.

Later, we talk to Vice President of Product Marketing for Samsung Mark Quiroz about their recent virtual experience, the Back To Business Conference. We discuss planning for the event, bringing the experience of a physical trade show floor to the virtual space, the digital signage solutions being showcased, and more.

Projector light sources have evolved from 1820s limelight to LED and laser technologies. Traditional lamps provided short-lived illumination, while LED and laser sources offer long lifespans, high color purity, and efficiency. RGB laser projectors offer UHD content color accuracy.
