The world is slowing down and staying indoors, but that doesn’t stop the latest news for the residential side of AV from coming out, which means we have to talk about it. It’s either that or go mad from the isolation.

After much deliberation, AVIXA has announced they are cancelling InfoComm 2020. In addition, Emerald Holding Inc. has cancelled all of their events planned for the first six months of 2020. Should be we worried about CEDIA Expo 2020 in September? What can we as a industry do in lieu of having these shows, whether it be online content or virtual shows? Looking at our options and what community means for our industry.

In lieu of the COVID-19 outbreak and how it is affecting businesses, OneVision Resources provides guides for integrators during the situation. Looking at the landscape of the business world and what companies can do to make changes and stay afloat amidst these times.

ResiWeek is the residential news and analysis version of AVWeek, AVNation’s longest running program. The weekly program is hosted by Matt D. Scott, owner of Omega Audio Video in London, Ontario. Scott has been involved in the audiovisual industry since he was 17 years old. Matt started servicing houses of worship throughout the Ontario area and moved into residential. Matt is an accomplished lighting designer, audiovisual systems designer, and marketing expert.
