On Second Thought, Let’s Not Go To Camelot
Before you go anywhere, wouldn’t you want to hear about the latest news coming out of the residential side of the AV industry? This week we are joined by Senior Director of Global Training for Atlona Ken Eagle, and Executive Editor for Residential Tech Today Jeremy Glowacki.
A study from Honeywell shows that 68% of workers feel unsafe returning to the office in the midst of this ongoing pandemic. There’s additional variables, including 82% of remote workers skeptical about the safety of work sites. Are we really ready to come back? What could we do as integrators to provide that safe experience and bring a sense of security for employees?
Speaking of making a safer place for end users, we look at the Zoomification of many different verticals, including but not limited to remote learning, house of worship and seeing family. How will this pandemic fundamentally change how we approach these spaces once we are out of this? Will it all go back to normal, or is this the start of some real hybridized spaces?
CEDIA announced it will be returning to in-person learning in March. To take a queue from one of the last stories, are we really ready for this? What are the things that we just can’t teach over a conference call? Looking at what this means for CEDIA and training in general.
