Those Endearing Nice Charms
Thanks to something called “Family Day” that transpires in Canada, this version of ResiWeek got to happen on the most important Tuesday, Twosday! But whether it’s a silly numbered day or any regular week, we are here to cover the residential side of the AV industry. Joining us this week is Area Sales Manager for Snap One (and author) Katharine Wheeler and CEO of Livewire Henry Clifford.
We start off looking at the potential of smart ceiling fans. Ceiling fans are not just entertaining to stare at, but are exceptionally valuable for integrators, selling nearly 12 million units annually. So it’s only right that as the AV industry, we jam the smart stuff in there, right? Right? Is there any growth for smart ceiling fans within the residential space?
Nice has announced plans to form a single entity in North America following their acquisition of Nortek Control in 2021. Nortek Control will transition into the Nice brand to prove the strength of the companies in tandem. Looking at what this means for both companies moving forward.
Finally, we have a discussion about the opportunities of remote work for integrators. In fact, the article we’re pulling from just so happens to be penned by one Henry Clifford, so it’s perfect timing we get to dig deeper into his thoughts and look at getting out of the field in the places where remote maintenance can shine.
