I’m Beginning To See The Light
It’s time to dig into the latest news and stories for the residential side of the AV industry. Joining us this week to aid in our discussion is Principal of Fregosa Design Rich Fregosa and Executive Director of the Powerhouse Alliance Dennis Holzer.
CES 2023 is all wrapped up, but Samsung is still looking at the future of the smart home and their plans within the space. We discuss the evolving ecosystem that is the smart home, and what integrators should be aware of moving forward.
While we did discuss the show last time around, one story that did slip through our fingers was one Displace TV, a “portable” display capable of suctioning onto surfaces. We’re not here (entirely) to dunk on such conceptual products, CES is essentially all about those kinds of things. We discuss the disconnect between coverage of technology and what integrators are actually capable of, and how we can mitigate those misconceptions when they show up.
Finally, we look at lighted mirrors. Specifically, Séura’s next generation of lighted mirror solutions. Since we talked bathroom AV last week, it’s only fair that in a way we continue the conversation and discuss the aspect of lighting fixtures and where that push is coming from. Will this have an impact on our industry?
