Lighten Up
It’s time to get all of the latest news and coverage for the residential side of the AV industry. And apropos for the last show (great rhymes!) of March, we have a panel of fantastic women in the industry. Joining us this week is Owner of Southtown AV Heather Sidorowicz, Owner of TruMedia Home Amanda Wildman and Founder of KMB Communications Katye McGregor-Bennett.
CEDIA & the Women in Consumer Technology (WICT) have partnered up to provide opportunities for women in the residential space. CEDIA’s Vice President of Education & Training, Mandy Beckner, alongside CEDIA Board Secretary Amanda Wildman (!!) are quoted in the article, discussing what it means for these two to work together for the space. How can we provide opportunities for women in AV in residential?
Apparently the Wildman train has no brakes, since we also discuss her list of the top 10 things from Lightapalooza 2023. Familiar names like Origin Acoustics and Josh.ai pop up, alongside other innovations in the lighting space. Despite lighting being big enough to warrant its own dedicated show, we still see some integrators not willing to take that plunge. How can shows like this showcase the power of lighting solutions for the residential space?
