ResiWeek 410: Not Particularly Achievable

The video version of this podcast can be found here.

What’s Better Than Free?

This is the very last ResiWeek. Is that enough for the clickbait to work? It’s technically true, though! This is the last regular ResiWeek episode for 2023! Which means we are still looking at the latest news and stories for the residential space. Joining us this week is Peter Aylett from Officina Acustica, and Mitchell Toolen from AVNation.

D-Tools has an early holiday present for the residential space! They are offering the D-Tools Cloud Solo plan for free. The software provides an integrator with the ability to manage their sales, estimate jobs through their product library, generate proposals and more. It’s an excellent tool for integrators on its own, so the price of free certainly doesn’t hurt. We discuss what this means for D-Tools and the integrators taking advantage of this offer.

It’s crazy to think that Integrated Systems Europe is just barely over a month away. But the Barcelona show is coming up quick, and they expect a massive turnout for the show. So much so that they are touting the largest show floor ever alongside a Drone Area, audio museum and much more. We discuss the growth of this show (barring those couple of pandemic years) and what it means for our industry.

Finally, we ask: Who has the ball? Thankfully, this isn’t a literal question. Henry Clifford writes for Residential Systems talking about the relationship between your sales team and your project managers. How intertwined should sales be when working with a project?
