Whether The Weather, The Ship Stays Sailing

Don’t kedge your bets (no, that’s horrible) but instead know exactly what to do by hearing all about the biggest news and stories for the residential AV space. Joining us this week is Charlie Porritt from Russound and Alex Capecelatro of Josh.ai.

CE Pro has five tips for success when it comes to outdoor AV. Since we’re getting into the spring season more integrators are going to be looking at projects within a client’s backyard or other outdoor spaces. We go over the steps in the article and look at what integrators need to know for their next outdoor excursion.

Snap One announces their plans for ISC West 2024. This is ISC, the International Security Conference, not ISE, Integrated Systems Europe. An important distinction. They’ll be showing off their security solutions during the show. We have had a lot of specialized shows like Lightapalooza and Enterprise Connect between the big shows like ISE, InfoComm and CEDIA Expo. Which ones should integrators be aware of?

According to a study that NETGEAR sent out, UK consumers do not have sufficient awareness of wi-fi networks. In spite of the fact that correspondents said they have up to 20 devices in the home that require wireless functions and that strong consistent network was integral to home office tasks. Is it up to the integrator to educate their clients?

Finally, we talk about Kedging. Possibly not in the literal sense. This is another piece from Henry Clifford, talking about the metaphorical nature of moving a vessel (your business) against the wind or in an otherwise dead calm water. Does your business have an anchor to set you in your ways? How can you move in the midst of stillness? We unpack the metaphors.
