Put Some Space Between You And Work
Whether you are actually a “Florida Man” or just pretending to be one, we are here to cover the latest news and information surrounding the residential AV space. Joining us this week is KMB Communications Founder Katye McGregor-Bennett and our own Producer for AVNation Mitchell Toolen.
Jason Knott is joining D-Tools as a Data Solutions Architect & Evangelist. Jason is not only a friend of the show and frequent collaborator, but also was a founding part of CE Pro, SSI and Commercial Integrator. We discuss what this move means for him, as well as D-Tools and the AV journalism space as a whole.
Alarm.com has acquired the assets of Vintra. Vintra is a software provider specializing in AI-powered video analytics in the commercial space. Alarm.com is looking to deploy these solutions for their OpenEye platforms. AI is a recent trend in many facets of technology, even though machine learning has been a stable thing for quite some time. Even so, we look at the potential privacy concerns when it comes to these security solutions.
Finally we get more words from Henry Clifford about managing stress in your day-to-day workflow. He comes at it from a point of economic uncertainty and a looming recession, but if we’re being honest since the pandemic it seems like everyone is “redlining” these days. What can we do to avoid that burnout and take out some of that worry?
